WNSB’s DJ Heart Attack Inducted into Hall of Fame
"Hot 91 Content Manager Michael "DJ Heart Attack" Mouzone was recently honored with inclusion to the Hampton Roads Black Radio Announcers Association (HRBRAA) Hall of Fame.
Mouzone is a Norfolk native whose radio and music industry career spans four decades. His career began in 1983 with WRAP AM radio in Norfolk, where he started as an engineering assistant. The tides of change brought in new radio station ownership and new responsibilities.
Better known in the party and radio scene as DJ Heart Attack, he grew as a mix DJ and a music assistant and later a music director for what we now know as 103 JAMZ.
He has been recognized for his outstanding work with awards from The Gavin Report, Billboard Music, IMPACT Music and the prestigious BRE (Black Record Executive) Award. His career has taken him all over the country, including to the legendary recording studio Paisley Park where he spun records for his royal purple highness himself, Prince.
He came to NSU as the content manager of WNSB in 2019. He is extremely proud of his work with students and helping grow WNSB as not only a learning lab, but also as a credible radio player in the market."
