Several Offices to Close for Professional Development

Several divisions and department offices will be closed for professional development over the next couple of weeks. Please see the list below: 

Friday, December 20
School of Graduate Studies and Research
The School of Graduate Studies and Research will be closed on December 20, 2024, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. for professional development.  

College of Science, Engineering, and Technology 
The College of Science, Engineering and Technology Office will be closed for professional development on Friday, December 20, 2024, at noon.

Offices Closed Through Jan. 20, 2025

Writing Center
The NSU Writing Center will be closed December 19, 2024, through January 5, 2025. Regular consultations will be available starting Monday, January 6; to book an appointment, email writingcenter@nsu.edu. 

Office of Testing Services 
The Office of Testing Services will be closed from December 17, 2024, through January 8, 2025. Please call one of the following phone numbers for support with testing issues.

Health Center
The Student Health Center is closed due to planned renovations aimed at improving facilities and services. The center is expected to reopen on January 20, 2025.

Students in need of health services can access essential health services through the following alternatives:

Students are encouraged to contact Dr. Keisha M. Taylor, Executive Director Student Health Services, at 757-278-4363 or via email at kmtaylor@nsu.edu to schedule an appointment with our new Medical Director located next to campus near Spartan Suites.

For Emergency Health Concerns
Call NSU Campus Police at 823-9000 or 911 if you are feeling confused, your lips turning blue, constant chest pain/pressure, unable to breathe, or excessive sleepiness.
