NSU Theatre Company to Perform at 2025 Norfolk Theatre Festival June 19-29
NSU Theatre Company has been selected to present the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winning play Topdog/Underdog, at the 2025 Norfolk Theatre Festival. NSU Theatre Director, Professor Anthony Stockard, who received a Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival award for Excellence in Directing for his 2018 production, again directs. The production will serve as a fundraiser for donations to the Jadon Z. Jenkins Memorial Scholarship Fund.
This fable of brotherly love tells the story of Lincoln and Booth, two brothers whose names were given to them as a joke, foretelling a lifetime of sibling rivalry. The brothers are forced to fill in the gaps of their past, survive the present and confront the shattering reality of their future. Don’t miss what Variety calls “utterly mesmerizing” and The New York Times calls, “vibrant comic drama” in this revival production by the award winning, nationally recognized NSU Theatre Company.
Performances begin on Juneteenth running from June 19th through 29th in NSU’s Brown Memorial Hall Studio Theater. Visit NSUTheatre.com for single and group tickets or for more information call (757)823-9009, ext. 5.
