 ve other female leaders by Girl Scouts of the Colonial Coast on May 1\, 20
 25\, at the d’Art Center in Norfolk from 5:30–8:30 p.m. This recogniti
 on will take place during the 2025 Famous Formers event\, a celebration of
  Girl Scouting and its legacy of leadership. \n\nAs the seventh president 
 of Norfolk State University\, Dr. Adams-Gaston is committed to ensuring th
 at NSU fulfills its mission and to the success of each student. Her appoin
 tments and honors have included: President Biden’s Appointment to the Bo
 ard of Advisors on Historically Black Colleges and Universities\, U.S. Dep
 artment of Commerce Industrial Advisory Committee\, NCAA Board of Governor
 s\, Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges Bo
 ard of Trustees\, and Greater Norfolk Corporation Board of Directors. \n\n
 The Famous Formers celebration honors female entrepreneurs\, visionaries a
 nd business leaders who were Girl Scouts in their youth\, and who have mad
 e a difference through high levels of achievement in their professional ac
 tivities and volunteer efforts\, like Dr. Adams-Gaston. \n\nGuests will pa
 rticipate in hands-on art projects led by resident artists of d'Art Center
 . Journalist Rae Pearson Benn with WTVZ and host of Our Issues Hampton Roa
 ds will be the emcee for the Famous Formers celebration. \n\nTicket info: 
 Individual tickets are $60 per person\, or two for $100\, and will engage 
 you in the brilliant world of the d’Art Center. Valet parking\, culinary
  delights to suit every palate\, two beer/wine tickets\, and art projects
