We’re excited to announce that the first Fine Art Seminar of the Fall semester will take place on Wednesday, September 10 at 10 a.m. in the James Wise Gallery. The seminar, From Contracts to Code: Government, Research, and AI in Fine Arts, will feature presentations about methods and ethical use of AI in creative-based research, and best practices for artists navigating government contracting/projects. The seminar will begin at 10 to 11 a.m. with Mary Girard, who is the liaison librarian to COLA, and will speak to the methods and ethical use of AI in research. The second part will be from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. with Mr. Chris Toon, who will explore best practices for artists in government contracts and AI.
