Emergency Notification System and Safety App

NSU Alerts

 NSU Alerts now uses the RAVE Mobile Safety system to provide official emergency notifications and essential information to the campus community. As a measure to best reach the NSU community during incidents and emergencies, all current faculty, staff and students are automatically registered with their NSU emails in the NSU Alerts system.**  

However, NSUPD strongly encourages faculty, staff, and students to manage their NSU Alert accounts and provide additional points of contact outside of their NSU emails.  Please add your points of contact to the new NSU Alerts system. 

Please stay connected and update your NSU Alerts account today by following the steps below:

In a web browser, navigate to https://www.getrave.com/login/nsu Log in with your NSU username and password. Add/Confirm your additional points of contact (i.e., mobile phone, voice-only line, and email **any additional email other than your NSU email**)

 **Please Note: In rare circumstances, after attempting to log in, some users may be presented with a registration screen to create their account. Please follow the steps below:

• Enter First Name, Last Name, NSU email, and mobile number as per the fields on the screen.
• Confirm your NSU email via the link emailed to you from RAVE Mobile Safety.
• Confirm your Mobile Number via the texted code from the RAVE Mobile Safety.
• Add/Confirm your additional points of contact.

Emailed NSU Alerts will now come from the no-reply email of: NSUAlerts@getrave.com.

Texted NSU Alerts will come from short code(s): 77295, 226787, 67283, & 78015

NSU Safe

As an additional resource to promote safety in our campus community, NSUPD has also deployed NSU Safe, the University's custom mobile safety app.  NSU Safe is available for download on both the Apple App Store and Google Play. The app is packed with features to enhance awareness and provide real-time safety resources at your fingertips. Such features include mobile blue light, friend walk, Report a Tip and more. In addition to safety features native to NSU Safe, the app also integrates with NSU Alerts, the University's emergency notification platform as an additional means to receive important incident and emergency information via push notifications.
