Dr. Lucy R. Wilson Featured on the Cover of Coastal Virginia Magazine
Dr. Lucy R. Wilson appears on the cover of Coastal Magazine and is featured in an article titled Celebrating Amazing Moms. Wilson, the widow of NSU’s second President, Dr. Harrison B. Wilson Jr., blazed a trail in her own right.
Dr. Wilson is a retired ODU associate vice president and the first Black woman to chair the Norfolk School Board. She has also served on the boards of Operation Smile and the American Red Cross. A mother of six, Dr. Wilson was instrumental in Dr. Harrison B. Wilson’s presidency.
