Please join us for the opening of the James Wise Gallery's exhibition Crowns of Glory: Ceremony, Culture, and Couture through Caps, Coiffures, and Coverings on Friday evening (February 3) at 6pm-9pm. This exhibition will feature artworks inspired by hair, head coverings, and hats.  These are not just part of fashion but are culturally significant. They can signify heritage, religious affiliation, political views, and more. In this exhibition, the James Wise Gallery has invited artists to consider the racial, social, cultural, and political meanings of our "crowns."
