 tes students and campus groups to participate in Clean the Bay Day 2026\, 
 a long‑standing Virginia tradition that brings together thousands of vol
 unteers to protect and restore our waterways. \n \n\nThis year’s event w
 ill take place on: \n\n📅 Saturday\, May 2\, 2026 \n⏰ 9 a.m.– 12 p.m
 .\n📍 Locations throughout the Chesapeake Bay Watershed \nFind nearby si
 tes at cbf.org/clean. \n \n\nRegistration opens on March 9 and closes on A
 pril 17. \n\nClean the Bay Day is a wonderful opportunity for students\, c
 lubs\, service organizations\, academic departments\, and ROTC or athletic
  teams to engage in hands‑on environmental stewardship while building co
 mmunity and gaining service hours. Many professors and staff have found th
 is event to be a meaningful extension of classroom learning—especially i
 n fields such as environmental science\, biology\, sustainability\, public
  health\, education\, and civic engagement. \n\nIn addition to joining an 
 existing public cleanup site\, campuses also have the option to organize t
 heir own on‑campus cleanup event. If your institution would prefer to ho
 st a site\, we are happy to provide guidance and support to make your camp
 us cleanup a success. \n\nWe hope to see members of your campus community
