Campostella Bridge Construction Affecting Norfolk State Traffic

Construction has restarted on the Campostella Bridge in the direction of Indian River Road. Crews expect to work Monday‒Friday, from 7 a.m.‒5 p.m. for the next four months.

During this phase of construction, one southbound lane is open going toward Indian River. Due to the lane closures, traffic is backing up along Brambleton Avenue and creating a bottleneck at the intersection of Park Avenue.

To alleviate congestion and for everyone’s safety, from 4:45‒5:45 p.m., Monday‒Friday, NSU Police will be directing vehicles leaving through Gate 1 to turn right onto Park Avenue rather left and to take an alternate route.
