For a third year, the Recording Academy's Black Music Collective and Amazon Music have collaborated to provide an exciting scholarship opportunity for students at Historically Black Colleges and Universities who are the next generation of music industry power players. Five students enrolled at an HBCU will be awarded $10,000 each and have the unique opportunity to participate in an immersive rotational program with Amazon Music and Recording Academy department leads. In addition, the BMC and Amazon Music will award two HBCUs $10,000 grants each for equipment for their music programs. The organization will be on campus on this coming Friday, 4/28/2023.
If you have a 3.0 GPA or higher, you are most likely eligible to apply for a $10,000 scholarship! BMC Amazon Music 2023 HBCU - Your Future Is Now Scholarship is offered by the Recording Academy. The Recording Academy, known for producing the GRAMMY Awards, is a U.S. organization of musicians, producers, songwriters, recording engineers and other recording professionals dedicated to improving the quality of life and cultural condition for music and its makers. The Recording Academy is headquartered in Santa Monica and has twelve chapters in various locations in the United States, including Atlanta, Chicago, Florida, Los Angeles, Memphis, Nashville, New York, Pacific Northwest, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Texas and Washington D.C.
